Digger derrick augers are essential for creating holes in the ground with precision and ease, for a wide array of jobs, from setting up utility poles, installing fences, or drilling for posts. An auger drills into various soil types and is specifically engineered to maximize precision, needed to comply with regulatory standards and creating holes with very specific diameters and depths. With the capability to drill to precise specifications from the start, digger derrick augers significantly reduce the need for costly adjustments.
Based on our work with experienced installers, Electric City Tooling (ECT) offers digger derrick auger tools with a single type of rock tooth because they offer the best practical advantage, and the difference between dirt and rock teeth is so marginal (with respect to production).
Easy to change and robust, rock bullet teeth reduce the need to carry multiple teeth. Our augers feature an industry-leading 1” lead flight protected with wear pads and 5/16” carry flighting, ensuring durability and long-lasting performance.
ECT also offers core barrels when conditions require rock, cobble, or boulder excavation. We provide barrels in any diameter, all built with wear pads for longer life and access ports to remove difficult plugs. Our teeth, the same as those used on our other augers, are easy to replace when needed, adding to the versatility and convenience of our tooling solutions. This combination is particularly effective for utility and construction projects, offering a single, powerful solution for digging and setting, while maintaining precision and reducing operational time.
